That's right, you can catch live jazz music every Thursday evening in April, where we've hired four incredible bands to bring you a variety of genres and themes that rejoice in jazz rhythm revelries.

April 4th: Brent Jensen Trio

SPECIAL TRIBUTE THEME: Paul Desmond Tribute for the first set. 
Brent Jensen has performed & recorded with a wide range of jazz artists including Gene Harris, Bobby Shew, Bill Anschell, Jeff Johnson, John Bishop, John Stowell, Jamie Findlay and many others. His recording, “The Sound of a Dry Martini: Remembering Paul Desmond” charted at the #1 position on jazz radio stations across the country and was featured on JazzWeek’s Top 100 and NPR’s JazzWorks’ Top 25 lists. Brent's duo recording, "We Couldn't Agree More" was named a "Critic's Choice" pick by Jazziz magazine and one of Jim Wilke's "Best Northwest Jazz CDs.

April 11th: Bakbuk

Bakbuk plays a mix of original music and re-invented classics in styles from all over the world. Salsa, Waltz, Klezmer, Swing, Hip-Hop and Samba are some of the main inspirations for the earthy, acoustic sound that Eli Rosenblatt (guitar, lead vocals) and Matt Weiner (Bass, vocals) create. This core plays as a duo and also adds other players to bring out different flavors and feels in their unique style. Their music is at once raw and elegant, with rhythm and swing to start the dance party and captivating melodies to entice the ear.  BUY TICKETS

April 18th: Kate Voss

SPECIAL TRIBUTE THEME: Kate Voss sings Blossom Dearie 
On stage, the Seattle-based jazz singer, Kate Voss, is a lighted candle. The frolicking glow and shadow cast by her luminous flame fills any room bent on a good celebration. Awarded Vocalist of the Year in 2016 by the prestigious Earshot Magazine and Best Jazz Act in 2017 from The Seattle Weekly, audiences and media outlets alike appreciate Voss’s musical radiance. A mainstay in the Seattle jazz scene, Voss has been performing music in the Emerald City since 2005. Today, she is perhaps best known for fronting her husband-and-wife nationally touring duo, Sundae + Mr. Goessl, a stylish blend of styles from Billie Holiday and Les Paul.

April 25th: D'Vonne Lewis' Limited Edition

D’Vonne Lewis is a self-taught musician/drummer/poet with a background in gospel, funk, and rhythm and blues. D’Vonne graduated from Seattle’s Roosevelt High School in 2002, where he received numerous high school jazz band awards, including the Jazz at Lincoln Center Outstanding Drum Soloist winner at the Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival for the years of 2000, 2001, and 2002. Lewis brings together some of the Northwest's best instrumentalists. The band offers up hard-driving grooves and spectacular musicianship shaped and propelled by a stellar band: the muscular saxophone of Cliff Colón, deep groove and virtuosic bass solos from Farko Dosumov and the ever versatile, instrumental voice of Jacques Willis on vibraphone. Limited Edition is a group you surely don't want to miss!
